Almost very good condition.
Greyish blue pictorial cloth, gilt titles to front and spine. Burgundy endpapers. B/w frontis and 7 other plates, plus 1 map. 352 pages plus 32 pages of adverts to rear. All edges olivine. Spine bumped, worn and faded. Corners bumped and rubbed. White mark to rear panel and small red mark to top of front panel. Board edges a little rubbed. Writing to top of title page - possibly an inscription - some of the writing is faded. Several hinges are cracked. Heavy foxing to first couple and last couple of pages. Foxing to some other pages but many pages are clean.

Spine bumped and worn with small splits to top and bottom. Small split to cloth between top of spine and rear board. Board edges are rubbed. Couple of white marks to front cover. Gilt and colour in vignettee are a little faded. Rear cover is marked and has a few scratches. Several hinges are cracked leaving the binding a little loose. Foxing and some fingering to contents. Plates are all clean.

Heavy foxing to title page, frontis and half-title page. Light foxing to page edges. Book has musty smell. Price-cut dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased. Large tear to front panel, stain to bottom part of spine and panels alongside. Some browning. Clear tape stuck on verso to edges and tears. Foxed.
