Volume I Third Edition 1802; Volume II 1799; Volume III 1801 and Volume IV 1804 and also 1805. Rebacked with blue cloth spine. Original leather boards are scuffed and worn at corners. New marbled endpapers. Some foxing present. Contained in expertly made matching slipcases.

A study in industrial organisation and development 1765-1867. The book follows the fortunes of the Crawshay family renowned as one of the greatest iron firms of the 19th century. B/w illustrations. Some mottling to boards. Top corner of boards lightly bumped. Text block and endpapers browned else contents clean. Price-cut blue dustwrapper is a litle grubby, browned, a couple of small closed edge tears (no loss).
