Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Mabell, Countess of Airlie, lifelong friend of Queen Mary and for over fifty years her lady-in-waiting. These are her memoirs edited and arranged by Jennifer Ellis, telling the story of a long and colourful life spanning the epoch between the horse-drawn carriage and the jet airliner, the cavalry charge and the H Bomb. Maroon cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. Text block lightly browned. Red to top edge of text block very faded. Light browning to endpapers. Contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn, chipped at corners with some slight loss, 1.5" closed tear to top rear corner, lightly browned.
