Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
New Naturalist series. Dark green boards, gilt title to spine. 24 b/w plates. Maps, diagrams and text figures. A detailed research into the six true species of thrush breeding in the British Isles; including a chapter of Britain's vagrant thrushes and a further substantial chapter on the seven species of small chat-like thrushes of the British Isles, including the Nightingale and the Robin. ISBN: 0002196700. Heavy foxing to top edge of text block but contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine and has clear laminate attached causing slight bleeding of text and image.

New Naturalist Series no. 9. Green cloth. An account of the Country Parish of Great Budworth in the County of Cheshire. 34 colour photographs. 48 b/w photographs. 9 text figures. Browning and minor foxing to text block especially the top edge. Name & date in ink to front endpaper. Light browning to endpapers. A few small margin marks related to ageing. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is covered with clear plastic film (starting to come loose stickiness and thus beginning to come away), protecting from further damage to small chip at top of spine and 1" closed tear. Dustwrapper spine is browned, as is the rear panel.

Front board printed and blocked with design by David Eccles from 'The Night-Blowing Cereus'. 232 pages with 9 preliminary monochrome plates, 5 preliminary colour plates and 29 flower illustrations. Text printed on felt-marked Modigliani Neve paper and plates printed on Modigliani Insize. Green ribbon marker. Coloured top edges. Book Size: 22.5" x 18.25". Commentary volume by Stephen Harris. Presented in solander box, bound in buckram. 128 pages. 12" x 8.25". Of the Limited edition of 1980 copies only 600 have been bound into book form. Due to the size of this book, if posted, it will need to be sent via courier. This is Copy No. 90. Also contains 2 beautiful colour plates in an envelope - for you to frame! Contained in original slip case that has bumping to a couple of corners and some scuff marks. This is a gorgeous item! This copy would make a wonderful gift.
