Dark green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Publisher's advert to front fly for 'The Canadian Naturalist: A series of conversations ion the natural history of Lower Canada' by Philip Henry Gosse plus further publications overleaf. x and 447 pages including index. Not illustrated. Vertical edges of spine worn and frayed. Corners rubbed and worn. A few marks to boards. Joints starting to crack. Endpapers grubby and marked. Browning to page edges and fly leaf. Some evidence of insect damage. Hinges pulled but binding still tight.
