12 musical plays for children aged 8 to 15. 24 full-page b/w drawings by Alfred Bestall and music by Alec Rowley. Very large format. Russet cloth, gilt title and decorations to spine. Pictorial endpapers. 240 pages. A few marks to front cover. Spine and corners just very slightly bumped. Small piece missing from lower margin of page 109. Small closed margin tears on pages 111, 113 and 161. A few faint foxspots to endpapers and a few faint margins marks else contents bright and clean. A very nice copy of this handsome book.

The dialogue of The Barrow Diggers in imitation ofthe grave diggers in Hamlet, was written shortly after the author of it had assisted an exceedingly agreeable party in opening a Barrow. Front board detached. Two (out of 11) plates present. Corners rubbed.

Limited edition of 360 copies (of which 350 were for sale). Large format. Black cloth, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover. B/w mounted plates (printed on tissue paper). 45 pages. SIGNED by author and illustrator, copy no. 231. Corners bumped. Covers very lightly faded. A few small foxspots else contents clean. White paper dustwrapper (with brown title and vignette to front) is slightly edge chipped and lightly browned. Contained in original slipcase which is well worn but has done it's job and kept the book/dustwrapper nice.
