Large presentation inscription to front endpaper. Light browning to endpapers and foxing, mainly to text block and prelims. Contents otherwise very good.

Slightly better than good condition in a fair dustwrapper.
Lindsay's appointment as a prefect at River Place school astonishes the sixth form, because Lindsay is apparently as casual as she is popular. But the Head knows of what good stuff she is made. Green cloth with brown titles to spine and front. 304 pages, top edge green. 4 b/w plates. Spine bumped and faded, Wear to corners. Brown marks and foxing to spine and cover edges. Ink name and address to front pastedown, Book 14 written to front endpaper. Some light browning and foxing. Dustwrapper has numerous tears, some large, but not a great deal of loss. Creased, edge worn and grubby with foxing.

Couple of hinges cracked. A few marks to page margins but contents generally clean. Dustwrapper is edgeworn and creased with a few small tears. Rear panel and spine are grubby.

Covers grubby. Front joint and one hinge starting to crack. Foxing, mainly to endpapers, prelims and page edges. Contents very good.

Jane's mother kept a secondhand shop. Some of the form decided that this must not be held against Jane, but not everyone in the school agreed with them. Red boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. 192 pages. Spine and board edges bumped, some darkening at edges. Endpapers browned. price-cut wrapper is edge chipped with areas of loss, especially to top of front panel and spine.
