Boards clean and bright. Text block just slightly browned & grubby. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is grubby and has a few closed edge-tears (no loss).

Spine faded from red to white, title to spine almost invisible. Uneven fading to spine edge on front board, tiny patch to rear board. Contents clean.

Blue cloth with gilt chinese characters on front cover, silver titles. B/w photos, illustrations and plans. Endpapers are maps. 392 pages includes index. Spine and corners bumped and a little worn. Spine darkened with slight loss of gilt to titles. Cover edges darkened. Pages lightly browned else contents clean.
