A Story of Child Life Fifty Years Ago. Small format. Blue cloth, dark blue titles and oval pictorial onlay to front cover, gilt title to spine. Illustrations have been reproduced from water-colour drawings by H.C Preston Macgoun. 101 pages, edges untrimmed. Spine slightly bumped and rubbed. Evidence of pencil marks erased from front endpapers. Some foxing to contents. Dustwrapper is a bit grubby and edge rubbed.

Being the child stories of Dr. John Brown. Beige cloth spine with black title and two small vignettes. Cream paper boards, gilt titles and vignettes to front. 56 pages. 8 colour plates (including title-page). Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Spine and corners bumped, corners worn. Some page browning but generally contents clean. Some marking to rear cover.

Very good condition.
Stiff card wraps covered with green suade. Gilt title to spine. 16 tipped-in colour plates. The story of a tailor in Dalkeith. 355 pages plus adverts. Spine browned, suade is a little scuffed and overlaps the card boards at edges. Approximately 1cm loss of suade at top of spine with a couple of edge tears. inscription to half-title page. Contents very good indeed, all plates persent.
