There is a chapter on the American colonies and other chapters include the Body Guards, the Yeomen of the Guard and the Battle Axe Guards of Ireland. Colour frontis and b/w illustrations. Maroon cloth, gilt title to spine. 264 pages includes index.
Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Ex-libris sticker of Ian H. Stockley on front pastedown. Pages lightly browned. Wrapper browned to spine with a few closed edge-tears.
