This book illustrates virtually all of Winston Churchill's paintings which are known to have survived and forms a kind of pictorial diary of his private life, a personal record of his family and friends, their homes, holidays and travels, across a span of more than forty years. Compiled by David Coombs and with a foreword by Lady Spencer-Churchill. Large format. Green cloth boards, gilt title on black to spine. Colour & b/w illustrations. 272 pages including index. Second impression, same year as first publication. Base of spine lightly shelf-rubbed. Boards clean. Some minor foxing to text block. Name & date in ink to front pastedown and 4 digits written in ink to front endpaper. Contents clean.
