Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The greatest racing drivers are recalled in this book in a series of original profiles. Together the profiles make up an informed background to racing history for the drivers range from Jenatzy and Nazarro of the 'Heroic Age', through to Nuvolari, Caracciola, Fangio, Hawthorn and Moss. Red cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos.
Damp mottling to lower front edge of boards.Base of spine rubbed. Text block browned. Relevant newspaper cuttings loosely inserted throughout (neat). Price-cut dustwrapper is repaired at edges with now aged tape, a few closed tears tp edges and small chips, edges rubbed and worn, rear panel a little grubby. Musty odour present.
