Very good condition. Green cloth, gilt title and decorations to spine. 23 b/w plates plus numerous b/w illustrations plus 5 folding maps.

All plates present. Fourth Thousand on title page. Name in ink W.A. Baillie-Grohman to title page and his bookplate on front pastedown. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper by H.T. Baillie-Grohman who was Commanding Officer of HMS Ramillies during the 2nd world war. Partial cracking of front joint. Scattered foxing. Some pages are uncut at top edge. One folding map at rear is torn.
