Good condition in a good dustwrapper. An unusual excitement ran through the brumby herd when their stallion, Winganna, returned with three mares. Blue boards with white titles to spine. B/w illustrations. 167 pages.

Ex-library with stamps and evidence of label removal to endpapers and prelims. Text pages are generally clean with just an odd grubby mark. Dustwrapper is enclosed within protective film and is attached to book by flaps.

  • An unusual excitement ran through the brumby herd when their stallion, Winganna, returned with three mares. One, a sad and beautiful creature, had with her a very young filly foal. The tiny foal was soon to be orphaned. Almost by accident, this little filly, Ilinga, was fostered by a mare whose colt foal, Wurring, nearly a yearling, brought the weak, hungry foal with him when the herd moved on. A story about the dramatic world of the wild horses of the Australian bush.
