The accounts published in this volume are for a large part of the estates of Henry de Lacy (1249-1311), earl of Lincoln. He was one of the wealthiest landowners in late thirteenth century England, a soldier and diplomat and a close friend and associate of King Edward I. Edited by Eric Foster.
