Very good condition. Blue cloth, gilt illustration to front cover and gilt title to spines. Colour illustrations. Edited and arranged by Bates with Old Master drawings.

Vollume I has a darkened stain running the length of the spine (water stain?). Otherwise a lovely set. Contained in publisher's slipcase which has some slight shelf-scuffing and a faint vertical stain to plain board (VG).
