During 12 years of close contact with this area, the author has been called upon to visit the slag heaps as well as the beauty spots; to talk with Peer and Poacher. A personal picture of the Forest of Dean written for pleasure. Red cloth, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover. B/w photos. Regional Series.

SIGNED by the author to title page (no dedication). Inscription in ink to verso of title page else contents clean. Price-cut dustwrapper is torn at top of spine with a small chip.
