This book deals with the working of the eighteenth century parliamentary system during the last crisis of the American War of Independence, from the 'false dawn' of the recovery of South Carolina until the final extinction of British hopes at Yorktown. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. xiii and 428 pages including index.
Boards lightly mottled. Foxing to text block, endpapers and some bleeding to a few page margins. Name & address in ink to front endpaper. A few instances of pencil annotation to margins else contents clean. Dustwrapper is browned with some foxing and grubby in appearance.
