A CHINDIT STORY
Published by Souvenir Press. 1st. 1954
Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. James Baggaley commanded an infantry platoon with Wingate's Chindits'a platoon which took part in the famous 700 mile march into Burma. This is his personal account - a realistic close-up of the reactions of one man, a junior officer, and the men under his command to a very unusual kind of warfare. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine.
Lower corners of boards lightly bumped. Page browning to contents. Minor foxing to text block. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn and torn with slight loss, grubby to rear panel.
