The book's central drama is the political and constitutional drama surrounding his 1909 Budget, but there are many sub-plots, including his dealings with the suffragettes. Navy blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos and illustrations. 391 pages including index.
Minor scuffing to boards. Text block a little grubby, foxed to top edge. Personal inscription in ink to front endpaper. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is a little grubby and lightly rubbed at edges.
