THE BATTLECRUISER HOOD (ANATOMY OF THE SHIP)

by John Roberts

Published by Conway Maritime Press. 1st. 1982

Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The battlecruiser Hood was the largest, fastest and one of the most handsome capital ships in the world. Early on in her career she was employed on several international assignments as a representative of the British Empire, and thus became one of the most recognisable symbols of the Royal Navy; her destruction by Bismarck in 1941 was received with shocked disbelief throughout the country. A complete anatomy of the ship in words, photographs and drawings. Oblong format. Grey cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos and drawings. 127 pages.

Bumping and wear to corners and edges. Some fading and damp marking to bottom edges and base of spine. Page edge browning. Some grubby marks to endpapers. Wrapper is browned with some chips and nicks to corners.
