Good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Chronicles of the Whiteoak Family series. Adeline Whiteoak is at the height of her sway as a vigorous and domineering matriarch of eighty. Adeline's grandson, Renny, is in a feud between him and his grandmother and his Cousin from Ireland. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine.

Boards mottled by damp (mainly rear board). Text block browned. Gift inscription in ink to front endpaper. A few minor foxspots present. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-rubbed and grubby.
