Nearly fine condition in a slightly better than very good dustwrapper. Reprint of the orginal publication by Pergamon Press 1955. The Company of Mines Royal was the first company formed in England to manufacture an article - copper - as opposed to trading abroad. This book tells the very human story of the fight of men against unequal odds to make a success of the first venture of its kind and how, however ill they fared, they never gave up the struggle. Black cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Limited to 1000 copies.
A nice, clean copy. Green pictorial dustwrapper is lightly faded to spine and has a tiny closed tear to top front edge (no loss).
