RBK A VERY PARFIT GENTIL KNIGHT
by Simon Harris
Published by Rooke Publishing. 1st. 2004
Nearly fine condition in a nearly fine dustwrapper. Ralph Kite was an ordinary Edwardian schoolboy, who was sent home at an early age from Tasmania to be educated in England. During his tragically short life he rose to command a company of the 52nd Light Infantry on the Somme. Having won the Military Cross he was mortally wounded and spent an agonising month dying of his wounds. In essence this is an informal history of the 52nd Light Infantry between the spring of 1915 and late 1916. Green cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. xxiii and175 pages including index.
SIGNED with a personal dedication to half-title page. Also includes a letter signed by the author. A lovely copy.
