Very good condition. A History of the Evolution of the Arts of Building, Decoration and Garden Design Under Classical Influence from 1495 to 1830. Purple cloth, gilt titles. B/w photos and illustrations. Top edges gilt.

Both volumes are heavily faded to spine and some lighter fading to front board. Corners bumped. Text block browned. Both volumes have contemporary name and date in ink to free front endpaper. Hinges pulled. Plate margins browned.
