Wayside and Woodland series. New Edition. Red cloth with gilt titles and vignette. Pictorial endpapers. Colour plates & b/w illustrations. Red speckled text blocks. Series I & III are reprints 1944. Series II is a first printing 1941. Lower edge of boards of all three volumes lightly rubbed. Some corners lightly bumped. Text blocks lightly browned. Contents are generally clean, perhaps a few light foxspots present. Hinge pulled at page 97 of Series III. A nice set.

Corners lightly worn. Contemporary name & date in ink to front pastedown. Front joint starting to crack. Text block browned with some foxing. Some hinges pulled but binding is tight. Some scattered foxing to contents. Some margin doodles in pencil (neat). All plates are present.

Text block lightly browned. Name & date in ink to half-title page. A few foxspots present, mainly to prelims and last couple of pages. Contents generally clean. Green dustwrapper has a pictorial onlay to front, is heavily browned, worn at corners with a little loss.
