Very good condition.
December 1896 (no. 1) to Novemeber 1897 (no. 12). Blue pictorial cloth with gilt title to front cover. 192 pages. Packed full of b/w illustrations, including some early work by Charles Robinson. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Covers slightly rubbed and grubby. Prize plate (name blotted out) to front pastedown. Front joint starting to crack. Contents are well browned but otherwise are clean. Endpapers are slightly grubby.

Red cloth with gilt title/decoration block to spine. Black title and blind decorations to front cover. B/w plates. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Damp/splash marks and other marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges, with some to page margins. A few pages have corner creases, including plates.

Blue pictorial boards. 4 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. 259 pages. Spine and a couple of cover edges are unevenly browned. Bottom corner of front endpaper has been snipped off. Some foxing. All plates present. Wrapper is torn with upto 2" loss to base of spine; loss to corners and top edge of front panel. This is a 2nd impression.
