Burgundy cloth spine. Cream pictorial boards. Colour and b/w text illustrations. Most illustrations by W.J. Morgan, a few early Charles Robinson illustrations, many illustrations not attributed. First story is "Mr. Old Year" by Mrs. Molesworth. B/w and colour illustrations throughout. Edges rubbed and worn with slight loss of surface paper. Joints cracked, hinges tight. Endpapers browned. A few margin marks but contents generally nice and clean.

Some surface paper loss to lower front corner of covers, edges rubbed, corners worn. Boards scuffed and marked. Front endpaper missing. Joints pulled. Small closed tear and slight loss to lower corner of half-title page. Page-edge browning. A few marks to contents but generally a nice copy with all plates present.
