Large format. Red stiff cardwraps with silver title and vignettes to front. Red, black and white and b/w illustrations. Covers faded at edges with some light damp staining. Inscription in ink to inside front cover. Contents detached at top staple, lower staple weak and may not hold for much longer.

Large heavy format. Blue cloth with gilt title to spine and embossed title to front cover. Colour plates and b/w text illustrations. Includes Oxenham story "Peggy and the Brotherhood". Light bumping and wear to spine and a couple of corners. Inscriptions in ink to front endpaper. Some foxing and page browning. Scarce wrapper is foxed, with some edge-creasing and closed tears; a few small chips of loss.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Cream cloth, large pictorial onlay to spine and front board, front board shows boy cooking over an open fire whilst girl is passing sticks for fire. First story is 'The Griffins' by Florence Harrison. Colour frontis shows 'The Brownie Gets His Cream'. Colour & b/w illustrations. Boards clean, worn at corners. Name in ink to front pastedown. A few minor foxspots and light marks to margins. Colour plate "She bore away from the danger" has been neatly trimmed away on bottom margin (about an inch missing) but still bears the title of the plate and has a few small closed tears to vertical edge. Pictorial wrapper has neat inscription in ink to front panel, is edge-worn and has loss at edges. Overall, still a decent copy.

Volume 25 Saturday 4th October 1902-Saturday 26th September 1903. Large format. Red pictorial cloth with gilt title and date to spine. Pictorial endpapers depicting events in the reigns of the Edwards of England. 12 colour plates. B/w illustrations including Louis Wain cats. Corners and some board edges bumped and rubbed. Top and bottom of spine are bumped. Cloth split to front of top of spine with small tear to top of word 'annual'. Some cloth missing to top and bottom of spine which is browned. Front joint is cracked. Browning and a little foxing to endpapers. Three tissue guards are missing from colour plates. Some page browning and foxing to contents which are generally clean.

First story is "Molly's Decision" (this is a long story serialised throughout the annual) by Branthwaite. Colour plates mounted on green paper plus b/w text illustrations throughout. Spine bumped and faded with small dark mark to centre. Covers edge rubbed. Endpapers browned, small piece chipped from lower edge of front endpaper. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Foxing to page edges. One plate has slight damage to edges, one mount has very slight paper damage to verso.
