Modern binding - green leather corners and spine; raised bands to spine; gilt titles. Marbled boards. 36 Hand coloured plates. Large paper edition. New endpapers. Some wear and rubbing to edges of leather. Page browning and some foxing. Margin marks in some places.

Good condition.
Volumes 1, 2 and 3 complete and bound together in dark blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Fold-out frontis. B/w illustrations. Spine is browned with chipping/fraying to cloth along edges. Damp stain to rear cover. Other marks to covers. Tape to front joint. Inscription in ink and pencil inscription to front endpaper. Rear joint cracked. Page edge browning; some foxing. All parts and plates are present, including frontispiece (which is absent from many copies). Frontis has tape repairs to verso.
