Light pink boards with large pictorial onlays to front cover and spine. Front onlay shows picture of a young girl with bobbed blonde hair in a pink dress. Colour frontis. B/w and three-tone text illustrations. First story is "The Middle of the Night". Spine bumped, onlay to spine worn and chipped with slight loss. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Heavy foxing.

Spine and corners bumped and worn, spine split at top 1" and loss to lower 0.5". Light stain to edge of front cover. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Price on title-page has been torn off with loss along lower margin. Some grubby marks to contents but nothing too bad.

Some light fingermarks to page margins.
