Beige cloth with gilt titles and onlays to front and spine showing a Canadian Mountie. Beige pictorial endpapers. Colour plates mounted on captioned brown paper. B/w illustrations. First story is "The Drums of the Twenty-Fourth" by Gilson. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Onlay to spine is slightly edge rubbed and faded. Some slight marking and spotting to covers. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Hinges cracked. Foxing to contents.

Large format. Maroon pictorial cloth. 12 colour and b/w plates. Boards lightly scuffed, spine lightly faded and lightly creased. Front hinge is broken and therefore prelims to page ix are loose/detached. Otherwise binding is tight. Folding frontis is torn in two along fold. Page edge browning and a few scattered foxspots. All plates are present. A working copy only.
