First published in 1961 by Hamish Hamilton as Bill Badger's Finest Hour. ISBN: 041626770X. Ex-Lib with ink stamps to front pastedown colophon page and removal of front free-endpaper. Slight bumping to spine and corners. Small and faint mark to top edge of front cover. Dustwrapper is slightly faded to spine with a small mark to base of spine (from an old sticker, no longer present), creasing to top and tail of spine.

B/w illustrations throughout. 88 pages. Early Bird Series No. 12. ISBN: 071820171X. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Endpapers are grubby, pencil writing erased from front endpaper. Some grubby marks to page margins. Textblock is lightly foxed. Price-cut wrapper (with 'new' publisher price of 10/- net/50p net printed beside this) is slightly foxed and edge worn, wear to base of spine with small patch of surface paper damage to rear panel.
