Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers are a little grubby and spine is slightly faded and foxed. Inscription in pencil to front free-endpaper. Some hinges cracked and some light foxing to contents.

Title page and first page of story detached (appear as if they were never bound in). Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-rubbed and worn with a couple of closed tears and a small chip, a few minor foxspots, some blue pencil marks to rear panel.
