Top & tail of spine worn, base of spine frayed. Boards grubby and illustrations/titles faded. corners worn. Text block browned with slight shave to lower edge (not affecting contents. Endpapers missing. Contemporary name in ink to top of title page. Joints cracked. 2 pages of plates (6 plates) missing. Top 1.5" of introduction page missing (cut out). Contents are stained and grubby, some damp staining.
