The Industrial Revolution in Marple & Stockport. A classic in economic history, this book was first published in 1924. Now in this volume, it has been re-issued with a second preface and emendations by Chaloner. Wrapper is faded to spine with some edge-creasing; surface paper damage to base of spine.

Green cloth spine, black title. B/w pictorial boards. B/w photos. Photo on page 62 has slightly rubbed and colour has worn off onto facing page (which is title-page for the Plan section). Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn and has a small piece of loss to top of spine.

Bookplate to front pastedown of Baronet Sir Reginald Wingate - founder and governor-general of Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. Inscription in ink to front endpaper 'From the Author' (no Signature). Compliments slip also clipped to front endpaper - a few rust marks from paperclip. A little foxing and page browning.
