A two volume work. A comprehensive survey of the Roman roads in Britain. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos and maps, colour folding map to the end of each volume. Volume I is second impression 1955 (same year as first publication), Volume II is first edition, first impression 1957. Light rubbing and wear to spine & corners. Text block lightly browned. Occasional foxing present. Price-cut pictorial dustwrappers are edge-rubbed and chipped with small amounts of loss to edges, a bit grubby.
