A satire upon dictatorship. The history of a revolution that went wrong - and of the excellent excuses that were forthcoming at every step for each perversion of the original doctrine. Small format. Dark green cloth. White title to spine. 91 pages. Spine is slightly cocked and lightly faded. Very top edge of boards is faded. Small foxspots to endpapers and text block. Contents clean. Dustwrapper states second edition but this is a second printing (reprint) of the first edition (some might call it a second edition). Green & grey dustwrapper is lightly worn at corners, foxing to rear panel.

Sequel to Cold Comfort Farm where Flora Poste, now Mrs Charles Fairford, once again represents the forces of sanity and order in a new battle. A classic satire. Blue cloth boards, silver title to spine. Boards a little browned and scuffed. Text block browned. Contents clean. Price-clipped pictorial dustwrapper is browned and has a closed tear across top of spine (no loss), minor chipping to base of spine.
