The Town Books of Faversham c. 1251-1581 are invaluable because they provide the basis for the history of the town in the period. The First Town Book, compiled c. 1382-1405, being a collection of documents dating from 1251 relating to the legal status of the Borough. The Second Town Book comprises the Town Accounts, Wardmote minutes and other records for the period 1436-1581. Two volumes. Large format. Red cloth boards, gilt titles to spines. Colour frontispieces. Limited edition of 250 numbered & signed copies. ISBN: 9780953099832. Copy L (50) of 250 and SIGNED by Duncan Harrington. Edge of boards lightly rubbed. Contents are fine. White pictorial dustwrappers are both a little scuffed and grubby.

Overall, a decent copy.

Author of many children's books, little did he think he would become the father of modern caravanning and first vice-president of the Caravan Club when formed in 1907. ISBN: 0907128157. This is copy no. 404. Spine and corners bumped. Inludes a small erratum slip stating "first published in leisure hour in 1885 and 1886". Dustwrapper is price-cut and slightly faded to spine.
