Second Series only. White cloth corners & spine, blue cloth sides with gilt crest to front. Includes: St. Paul's Cathedral; York Minster; Ely Cathedral; Norwich Cathedral; St. Alban's Cathedral; Salisbury Cathedral; Worcester Cathedral; and Exeter Cathedral. B/w illustrations. Top edge gilt. White boards a little grubby. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Text block browned. Hinges pulled but binding tight. Endpapers lightly browned. Plain blue cloth dustwrapper with gilt title to spine is heavily faded to spine and lightly frayed at edges.

A book of views, in the form of b/w engravings, of stately homes in English counties. Latest date given on plates is 1831, earliest date 1804. Oblong format. Three-quarter leather binding with marbled paper sides. Gilt title 'Views' to spine. No further title pages or contents list etc. Marbled endpapers. Leather spine and corners rubbed and worn, board edges rubbed, marbled sides a little rubbed. Binding is firm. Name in ink to verso of front endpaper and also to verso of first plate. Some browning to contents. An unusual item, untitled and undated.

Containing the following parishes and hamlets in the hundred of Caldicot: Chepstow, St. Arvans, Penterry, Mounton, Mathern, St. Pierre, Runstone, Portskewet, Sudbrook, Caldicot, Ifton, Caerwent, The Chace or Forest of Wentwood. Boards rubbed and worn at corners, boards marked, spine grubby. Name in ink to front pastedown. Front joint starting to crack but binding is tight. Scattered foxspots (pale) throughout and a few instances of grubby fingermarks to margins. Newspaper cutting pasted to rear pastedown. Some pencil annotation.

Containing Title, Indices of Names and Places, Addenda and Corrigenda (Together with 5 plates to be intserted in Parts I and II). Colour folding map frontis showing the Hundred of Caldicot. Boards waterstained, marked and browned. Score mark to rear board and slight surface paper damage to top rear corner. Boards slightly bowed. A few fingermarks and foxspots to contents. Frontis map is beautifully clean and bright.
