The Old Mail Road to Scotland. Red and black pictorial cloth. Black titles. Second and revised edition. B/w illustrations. Spine lightly faded, A few spots to front cover (water?). Front cover feels lightly bowed. Text block lightly browned. Hinges lightly pulled but binding is tight. Contents are clean.

Almost very good condition.
Large format. Blue pictorial printed paper boards. Yellow, blue & white pictorial endpapers. Bright two tone and full colour illustrations throughout. 56 pages. An excellent example of Jessie M. King's illustrative style. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few scuff marks and indentation marks to covers. Bottom 2-3" of backstrip are MISSING. Some wear to rest of spine. Child's name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Inscription in ink dated 1930 to verso of frontis. Some grubby marks to some pages, with foxing/browning; tiny spots of surface paper damage. Illustrations are still bright.

King's illustrative style. Edges rubbed, corners lightly worn. Backstrip has slight loss at top and tail of spine through general wear and tear. Else backstrip complete with scuffing at edges. Covers generally nice and bright with a few marks to rear cover. A few very pale foxspots to prelims and endpapers else a very nice, clean copy.
