Large format. Brightly coloured pictorial paper boards with clear window in centre showing Crusoe looking through a spyglass. Top corner of boards & contents cut in shape of parrot. First and last double page spread is a colourful pop-up by Kubasta. Colour illustrations to story. Top 3" of spine have split with chipping. Damp marking/spotting to top of pages next to binding on pages throughout book. Pop-ups are very good - although it appears that one tab has come unstuck to last pop-up.

Colour coat of arms plate before part 2. Contents page of volume 1 is torn with a little loss. Map of Penbrok is torn in two pieces, with other tears along folds. Some damage to page margins; chipping. Repairs to pages 257-318 - paper repairs and sewing; rebacked. Browning to pages; some foxing. Modern binding with new endpapers.

Spine has been repaired with yellow cloth. 4.5" loss to bottom of original paper spine; quarter inch paper loss to top. Creasing to cover corners; some foxing and a few marks. What appear to be sticky glue marks to inside front cover and opposite on belongs to page. Name in ink in belongs to box. NOT price-cut. Foxing to outer page edges and a few page margins. Some page corner creases. Illustrations are still lovely and bright!!!
