Full vellum binding with gilt titles and decoration. Large, heavy format. SIGNED by Wilcox and Tennant to limitation page, this is copy no. 178. Cover edges and spine are just a little grubby. Silk ties are missing. Name and date in ink to front endpaper. Untrimmed page edges are dusty and there is some very light fingering otherwise contents are clean. 1 plate has a very light crease to a lower corner, all others present and fine condition.

Green cloth spine. Pictorial front board showing girl dressed in clown suit. "A Novel Picture book For Children". Four pop-up colour pictures. B/w text illustrations. Spine worn at top and tail. Corners worn and cover edges rubbed. Joints and hinges cracked, front free-endpaper missing. A few loose pieces to first pop-up and skipping rope is twisted (but still intact), other 3 pop-ups in excellent working order. Some tears to inner margins and some loose pages caused by the cracked hinges. Some light page browning and fingering. Still a nice copy of a very scarce Nister pop-up.

Endpapers lightly browned. A few light foxspots to contents otherwise clean. Dustwrapper is just a little bit grubby and has a 5cm closed tear to top of spine edge on front panel (for some reason the wrapper appears to be 0.5cm too short for the book!).

Spine and corners a little bumped, corners slightly worn. Small nick to lower edge of front cover. Small split to spine rear edge. Covers clean with gilt still bright. Attractive pictorial bookplate of Dora Allison on front pastedown. Inscription in ink on front endpaper dated December 1869. Some light creasing to pages and some fingermarks. Two pages have circular black marks to them (pages 88 and 120). A bright copy of a scarce early fairy tale book.

'Untearable'. Green cloth spine, pictorial front board. 16 full-page colour illustrations plus sepia line drawings. Floral decorated endpapers. All edges dyed pink. Short animal tales told in verse. Spine slightly bumped, corners just a little worn. A tiny dent to lower edge of front cover. Endpapers are lightly browned with a couple of small crayon marks to front free-endpaper, also light vertical crease to edge of front free-endpaper which has a tiny tear at base. Staples are rusty. Contained in original paper dustwrapper (b/w illustration to front) which has a couple of small closed edge tears. Dustwrapper has done its job and kept the covers beautifully bright and clean!

An allegorical tale reminiscent of Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. Green and blue pictorial cloth, gilt title blocks to front cover and spine. 6 full page b/w engravings plus chapter head and tailpieces. 191 pages. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Front endpaper browned. Small price label 'awarded in connection with Chums Empire Map Scheme' on front pastedown. Small foxspots to endpapers and half-title page otherwise the contents are beautifully clean and bright with all plates present. A super copy of this title, exceptionally rare in first edition.

A few finger marks present. Illustrations clean and bright.
