The first book of six in the Rupert Little Bear Series. Cream decorative boards with pictorial onlay to front cover. Brown cloth spine with black title. Plain endpapers. Titles of the first three books in the series on rear cover. Pages printed in blue, red or brown with one illustration to each page. REDUCED PRICE. Boards a little grubby. Corners and edges slightly worn. Inscription in ink dated Xmas 1925 on front pastedown, so this is a reprint in first year of publication.. A few small closed margin tears. One page has a few margin marks otherwise contents bright and clean. A very nice copy of an exceptionally rare early edition in its original binding.

A nice copy of a rare Louis Wain item.

King's illustrative style. Edges rubbed, corners lightly worn. Backstrip has slight loss at top and tail of spine through general wear and tear. Else backstrip complete with scuffing at edges. Covers generally nice and bright with a few marks to rear cover. A few very pale foxspots to prelims and endpapers else a very nice, clean copy.

Large format. Pictorial card wraps. An eight page story of Ricky the Rabbit with a stunning fold out pop-up scene to the rear of the book. No. 106 to bottom left corner of front cover. Cover edges slightly rubbed and spine a little worn. Some light page edge browning and fingering to text pages, corner tips lightly creased. Staples rusty. The ear of the goat is missing and there are a couple of minor creases otherwise the pop-up scene is in excellent condition.
