Very good condition. Four volumes, very large format, 16 x 12 inches. Burgundy cloth, gilt titles. 90 guarded and captioned stunning coloured plates, 88 photogravures and 20 distribution maps. Top edges gilt.

All plates present. Slight foxing to prelims and small amount of damp staining to page margins of Vol I, not affecting text. Spines and covers slightly bumped and rubbed with a few slight marks to Vols I and II. Small bubble to front cover cloth of Vol III. Contents generally fine. A very nice set of this rare work.
