Some bobbling of cloth to Flora, light damp staining to boards of Supplement. Endpapers a little grubby. Text blocks browned. Some pencil & pen annotation especially to the supplement. Else contents clean.

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
Black cloth with gilt titles. With many illustrations to the different volumes. Nos. 135, 137 and 149, respectively of series issued to members of The Ray Society. 1951, 1953 and 1974 respectively (all are first editions in this format). Some mottling to covers. Text block lightly browned and foxing to endpapers of volumes I & II, foxing to text block of volume III, else clean. Dustwrappers of volumes I & II are browned, especially to spine, and marked, worn to spines. Dustwrapper of volume III is lightly browned to spine and lightly scuffed. Overall, a decent set.

Pictorial dustwrapper is faded to spine (usual for this title), very faint crinkling to vertical edge of rear panel and a few minor marks. Contained in publisher's slipcase which has some light fading to front open edge and insect damage to cloth on base (VG), and a few minor marks.

Endpapers are foxed and partially browned. Heavy foxing to top edge of textblock, affecting the margins ever so slightly. Dustwrapper is browned and foxed on verso, is slightly grubby and has a small chip at top of spine.
