Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. A beautiful novel of the 1870's centred on the friendship of the Dean of the City and the quaint little genius of a clockmaker, Isaac Peabody. Blue cloth covers, gilt title to spine. B/w illus to chapter headings.
Spine and corners a little worn. Small bookseller's sticker to front pastedown. Light browning to endpapers. Some foxing to page edges. Dustwrapper has tape along top edge of front panel and spine. Small areas of loss under tape. Black pen to end of tape on front flap. Spine browned on front and verso. Foxing to verso. Crease to rear flap.
