Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Set in the time of the civil war between Charles I and Parliment. Jane and her twin brother find themselves unavoidable drawn into a struggle while helping their father, who is a leading Royalist. Red boards with black titles and vignette to front cover. 256 pages. Some b/w illustrations.

Spine slightly bumped and rubbed. Light foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is slightly edge chipped, browned/spotted to spine and a little grubby to rear panel.
