THE FAIRY CARAVAN
Illustrated by Beatrix Potter
Published by Frederick Warne & Co Ltd.. 1st thus. 1952
Very good condition in a poor dustwrapper. The story of William and Alexander's Travelling Circus but this is no ordinary circus - Alexander is a Highland Terrier and William is Pony Billy who pulls the caravan. A longer story for older children, originally published in the US in 1929 but not in the UK until 1952. Delightful colour plates and b/w drawings. Green cloth, black titles and vignette. 225 pages. 8 x 6".
Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Spine foxed. Endpapers lightly foxed. Light musty smell to contents. Dustwrapper is worn, torn and creased with some loss to spine and corners and a large tear across front panel.
