Red cloth covers with bevelled edges, pictorial onlay of Samuel Whiskers to front. 21 x 16.5cm. Colour and b/w illustrations. 69 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed with wear to spine ends. Small, light mark to rear cover. Inscription in ink and a name and address to verso of frontis. Some hinges cracked. Margin tear to one page (5) and a few corner tips lightly creased. A couple of tiny patches of surface paper damage to text page margins. Some grubby fingermarks to contents.

Book is affected by damp with staining and red 'bleeding' to page edges (especially towards the front of the book). Inscription in ink (dated 1909) to front endpaper. Scattered foxing. Text is legible and illustrations are clean.
